Rapporteur Colette Burgeon ⚙
I am referring to my written report.
Luc Goutry CD&V ⚙
Mr. Speaker, colleagues, this is an important draft and I would like to draw your attention to two articles that, in my opinion, are politically the most important.
Article 135 limits the number of multiple applications that asylum seekers can submit. We already announce that we consider this to be a good measure, because due to seamless procedures, it would no longer be possible in the long run to provide people with legal certainty, to create clarity and to respect the deadlines.
Next is Article 140.
Koen Bultinck VB ⚙
Mr. Speaker, I think our good colleague Goutry is mistaken on the subject. He is now working on the social integration loop as regards the draft law with regard to various provisions. I thought that now the bill was announced in relation to public health.
Luc Goutry CD&V ⚙
Excuse me ! When is social integration discussed?
President Patrick Dewael ⚙
That comes later.
( ... ) ... ( Applause )
From the applause I conclude that the introduction was very strong. We will continue on later.
Gerolf Annemans VB ⚙
Mr. Speaker, do you not mind that the Flemish Interest Group continues to monitor the affairs?
Bruno Tobback Vooruit ⚙
Mr. Speaker, from the course of this debate at the end of the year you must absolutely guarantee that it appears with golden letters in the report that this was the moment when the majority itself no longer knew what they were actually discussing.
President Patrick Dewael ⚙
Mr. Annemans, you have something to add to that, right?
Gerolf Annemans VB ⚙
I can agree with this; the majority no longer knows which of its various provisions they actually want to talk about. That is it.
President Patrick Dewael ⚙
I make a call again. Who is asking for the word on the bill containing various provisions on public health? That is why Ms. Onkelinx is present. Mrs. Onkelinx knows it.
