Mr Dirk Janssens and Mr Daniel Senesael, rapporteurs, refer to the written report.

I can be very short.
We are still too little aware of vector diseases. I was even asked in the committee what this exactly means. It is about mosquitoes and ticks, and it has to do with globalization and climate change.
There is still a lack of knowledge about these vectors in our country. There is also no general registration and no reporting obligation for certain vector diseases. Therefore, there can still be some attention to it.
We have not passed the climate law, but we have undertaken at COP21 the commitment to do something about climate issues and climate warming.
This resolution simply calls for an examination of what additional measures are needed, including on border control, and what advice the Tropical Institute gives in order to better inform the population. It also calls for a better assessment of the risks in the field of travel medicine.
I would like to thank my colleagues for approving this Chamberbreed.
