Mr. Speaker, I ask for the presence of Minister De Crem.
President Patrick Dewael ⚙
Minister De Crem has apologized. He is currently in the United States of America. If you insist, we can also postpone the design until Thursday. Then he is back.
David Geerts Vooruit ⚙
I would appreciate that. Either we must suspend now and wait until the minister returns, or we must postpone it.
Dirk Van der Maelen Vooruit ⚙
Mr. Speaker, I propose that we postpone this point until Thursday. Minister De Crem may be present on Thursday. We can discuss this in his presence.
President Patrick Dewael ⚙
I ask the House if there is an agreement to postpone the point of the military contingent.
Servais Verherstraeten CD&V ⚙
Mr. Speaker, I would like to point out that the draft was unanimously approved in the committee. In this sense, I advocate that it be dealt with in the absence of the Minister, but in the presence of a representative of the Government.
President Patrick Dewael ⚙
Do you consider the presence of the Minister indispensable?
David Geerts Vooruit ⚙
Mr. Speaker, I would like to go back in history. Minister De Crem, while still sitting in your place on the couch, reacted very furiously, because the former minister was not there to answer a verbal question. Now we are with a draft that Minister De Crem considered very urgent to submit. So the least thing is that he is here.
Servais Verherstraeten CD&V ⚙
Mr. Speaker, if the opposition colleagues insist, I have no objection to the delay of the discussion until Thursday.
President Patrick Dewael ⚙
The point of the military contingent is postponed until Thursday. Is there unanimity on this? (approval of consent)
Then we can now proceed to the voting on the points announced on the agenda, of which we concluded the discussion today. We will soon see how we will organize our work in the coming days.

Mr. Speaker, I will keep my presentation on my bench. Mr. Minister, you say in the text that in January 2010 there will be 37 112 soldiers under the military contingent. You have listed which soldiers are included in it. In the next discussion we will talk about the soldiers of the voluntary military deployment. Are they included or not? I could not find that in your explanation.
Minister Pieter De Crem ⚙
I can be brief: No.
President Patrick Dewael ⚙
The answer is denial.
David Geerts Vooruit ⚙
The answer is denial. Mr. Minister, will it not be a problem to realize this in your next point?
Minister Pieter De Crem ⚙
Mr. Speaker, the answer is no.
David Geerts Vooruit ⚙
Then we will agenda this on the next point.
