Rapporteur Koenraad Degroote ⚙
Mr. Speaker, the draft resolution was submitted in June 2016 and was discussed in the Committee on Internal Affairs on 20 February 2018. The principle is based on the Constitution, which stipulates that the German language area is a full-fledged state, but that the German language does not have an equivalent status as the other official national languages. The concern of the applicant is to do something about it.
Everyone agreed with the principle. Sometimes there is a question about financial feasibility. However, the response showed that it is not intended to hunt the government for costs in the short term.
Ultimately, the considerations and recommendations of the resolution were unanimously adopted at the committee meeting of 20 February 2018.
At the end of the course, I would like to congratulate my colleague, Mrs Jadin, on her initiative. Thank you beautifully.

Thank you very much, Mr President. Thank you also to the Rapporteur for his excellent Summary of the relatively short Debates that we had in the Internal Committee. The aim of this resolution proposal is to promote the promotion of the German language at all levels. It is just right to be said: Article 4 of the Grundgesetz states that there are four language regions. The German language area is one of them. Therefore, this language must also be respected on all levels, where German-speaking people have an Importance. This applies both for the provincial level, as long as it exists, as well as for the level of the Region and the federal level.
And here is it, of course, very especially important for me, that support of my colleagues to obtain, so that the Population of my Region important services, at whom a special information is needed, timely in their mother tongue can obtain.
Instead, the attention should be paid to the fact that in our country there is a small minority who speaks German and who also deserves to receive their services in their mother tongue.
Thank you to all the members of this Committee, but also to this Plenum, so hope I, for the support of this proposal for a resolution, which is me, but also many colleagues will make possible, on a certain proactivity from the members of the Government to pochen, was concerned with the advancement of some Übersetzungen. Many thank you.
