Rapporteur Richard Miller ⚙
I am referring to my written report, but I would like to emphasize one point.
This convention concerns the penalty of agricultural labour. It is important because it aims to address the problem of safety and health at work in the agricultural sector.
We have often heard in our assembly the interest of our colleagues in this notion of painfulness. I will remind you that the agricultural sector, along with the extractive industries and construction, shares the sad privilege of being one of the three most dangerous sectors in the world.
In our federal state there are competences that depend on the Regions but there are also competences that belong to the federal state. That is why, Mr. Minister, the MR group is delighted that you have submitted this bill giving your consent to this convention.
