Ronny Balcaen Ecolo ⚙
Mr. Speaker, a few words to remind that the purpose of this project is to provide a response to the comments made by the State Council on a draft decree of the Flemish Parliament on higher education.
The answers proposed in the bill have had time to mature and make their way into the Flemish Parliament, where reflection has been ongoing for a long time. This is not the case on the part of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation; however, a reflection would ⁇ have been necessary. In fact, questions can be raised about the possible impact of the bill on compliance with constitutional provisions regarding minimum conditions for the issuance of diplomas.
I would therefore like to regret that the work did not take into account a reflection at the level of the Federation Wallonia-Bruxelles. That is why Ecolo parliamentarians will abstain at the time of the vote on this text, hoping to be able to initiate, in the other Community, the debate that was held in the Flemish Parliament, which we did in the Federation Wallonia-Brussels through our colleagues.
