Mr. Speaker, the draft law aims to amend the law of 8 May 2003 concerning the conduct of a scientific investigation on the persecution and deportation of Jews in Belgium during the Second World War with a view to extending the period at the disposal of the Study and Documentation Centre War and Contemporary Society to submit its final investigation report to the Federal Parliament and the Government. It is the end date that was originally planned before 31 August 2006. It is extended until 30 November 2006.
The draft includes two articles, both unanimously adopted by the committee, as well as the entire draft law.
