Rapporteur Muriel Gerkens ⚙
This bill has received the approval of all members of the committee. The recommendations contained in this project were among those of the Dioxine Commission.
In contrast, questions were raised regarding the emergency procedure requested by the government and the date of entry into force of this law, fixed on 4 December next year, that is, before its publication in the Moniteur belge.
The comments submitted highlighted the fact that the producers and insurers concerned were at risk of not being able to comply with the law unless they were aware of it in a timely manner. In response to this, the minister told us that she, as well as the Minister of Economy, had informed all actors via colloquiums and circles. by
The concerned persons know that this law will enter into force on 4 December. All necessary arrangements should normally be taken.
Regarding Ms. De Meyer’s bill, the minister and members of the committee supported the proposal. But the emergency procedure prevented his examination. The commitment was made to return to it in the near future. Ms. De Meyer therefore withdrew her bill and its amendment.
