Mr. Speaker, the bill, submitted by Mrs. Dierick and a number of colleagues from the Committee on Business, proposes to take Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) as the basis for the legal time in Belgium and no longer to rely on the reference time determined by the rotation of the earth and this to remove legal uncertainties.

The bill was adopted unanimously, following amendments to Articles 2, 4 and 5.
