I have another question about the bill.

Of course, I have no objection to institutions being transferred to the GGC, but that also means that from 1 January they must be officially a bilingual institution and be able to provide a bilingual service.

At that time I questioned the Minister responsible for language legislation, Mr Jambon. He said that he automatically assumed that this would be okay, that the institutions concerned knew that they should provide a bilingual service. He did not intend to take any initiative to negotiate on this. He put on the umbrella that the control for this is at the Brussels policy level.

I would have liked to know whether there has been consultation on this and whether the concern that the bilingual service is indeed insured has been expressed to the counties.

I would have very much liked to get an accurate answer, because I will let my voting behavior depend on that.
