Mr. Speaker, Mr. Speaker, Mr. Speaker, Mr. Speaker, Mr. Speaker, Mr. Speaker, Mr. Speaker, Mr. Speaker, Mr. Speaker. Tommelein et consorts aims to extend by one year the period within which the Director-General of the General Directorate of Air Transport of the SPF Transport and Mobility is authorized to issue safety notices for identification badges in airports.
If this bill was not voted, then it would be the national security authority that should carry out this work and, according to the information obtained from the various services, it would not be able to fulfill this task properly and this could compromise safety at airports. That is why this bill has been submitted.
It is obvious that if we had a government earlier, we ⁇ ’t be discussing urgently today, as there is an urgent need to find a solution before January 1, 2008.
It is also obvious that the future government, whether provisional or definitive, will have to find a lasting solution to this problem.
