Catherine Fonck LE

Mr. Speaker, Mrs. Minister, as you know, we support this text, but I take advantage of the plenary session to remind you that, in addition to the aspects of governance and economy that you realize with this bill, there is still work to be done in this matter, both to improve and accelerate the processing of the cases of the persons concerned – victims of work accidents or occupational diseases – and to update a number of points. In fact, new risks have been scientifically highlighted and are not yet taken into account. I understand that this text of law can go beyond the benefit of patients and users while ensuring that during this merger work, the processing of files does not suffer, which would be done at the expense of the persons concerned.

As a committee, I insisted on these points and I had to repeat it here, because some do not necessarily realize that the files of people affected by work accidents or occupational diseases are delicate, their treatment can take a lot too long while they are fundamental for these people.
