The proposal concerns the modification of Article 458a. To assist the former House Speaker, I will keep my presentation in that spirit.
It is about the introduction of the concept of partner violence in Article 458bis of the Criminal Code.
For the N-VA, partner violence is absolutely unacceptable. Partnership violence must be addressed in every way: constructive, effective and effective. Whether this will be effectively addressed by the introduction of the concept in the law is something else.
Today, in cases where serious danger threatens, emergency workers already have the right to speak, not to say the duty to speak. They may be guilty of guilty failure. These possibilities already exist today.
We want to point out here the poor legislative work that is happening. It has only been three months since we had to make an adjustment to Article 458bis in order to register the vulnerable persons. We have already said that the term was not mentioned very clearly.
Now we will add the concept of partnership violence. Within three months we can be back here to enter a new category.
We find it a bit unfortunate that everybody wants to write something new. That is why we will abstain.
