Mr. Speaker, my colleagues, in the first place, the Minister has sought to bring the proposed draft legislation into alignment of two laws which are more or less in the same framework, namely, the Pollution Act and the Marine Environment Act.
This has been preceded by a whole process to ensure that in practice all services are involved, both at the federal and regional levels, so that the punishment can also become effective.
The committee raised a number of questions for clarification, in particular regarding the interpretation of certain elements. The Minister has responded extensively. The project was therefore adopted.
