Rapporteur Herman De Croo ⚙
Meanwhile, the report was distributed to the banks. I will briefly summarize three points.
First, there was the urgency requested for dealing with these bills.
Second, I want to express my growing concern. International treaties are approved in Dutch and French, but usually the treaty itself refers to English as the language of instruction. In case of difficulties, the English text should be consulted. Quod when this text was not actually approved here?
Third, there are still a lot of these tax treaties under way. There are several finance ministers in the country. There are both a Flemish, a Brussels and a Walloon finance minister, and one does not know exactly who can ask the partner for what and to whom this partner can go. A solution is underway with a consultation procedure and one point of notification in the Federal Department of Finance.
For the rest, I refer to the written report.
