Mr. Speaker, Mrs. Minister, I just want to give a vote statement and indicate the reason why we will abstain.
For us, it was very important to know what exactly the term “psychologist” meant in the bill. Was it just about the business psychologists or also about the clinical psychologists?
You have given us a satisfactory answer on this subject. The psychologists who deal with patients, as I will call them, do not belong to the psychologists referred to in the bill. By 2016, however, they will be housed in a royal health care decree.
The year 2016 is still a long way away. Therefore, we take a waiting attitude.
Furthermore, we also examined a number of matters which will be settled in royal decrees, but whose scope we do not know sufficiently. I think of the disciplinary body, the eligibility conditions and the Dutch-speaking and French-speaking chambers that will be established. Will they provide a fifty-fifty ratio or will a different number ratio be proposed? The answer is not in this bill, but refers to the royal decrees, the content of which we do not know.
Because of all uncertainty, we will abstain during the vote on this bill.
