The Convention on Waste of the Central Rhineland Shipping Commission can only be applied if it has been ratified by all countries. Our country has once again proved to be the worst of the class. It is the only country that is still waiting for ratification. The interim government apparently did not find time for it and has caused months of delay.
I am delighted that today’s approval is finally forthcoming, so that the federal level after months of delay is finally getting in order. The Flemish Region has already done its homework and is already completely okay. I would only like to ask that we urge our Wallonian colleagues that they also do their duty in this. I heard that they went to the State Council to slow down the matter. Apparently they have to catch the taste. I would like to insist that it is resolved as soon as possible and that the Central Rhinese Shipping Commission can finally continue to work on it.
