The three drafts were discussed by the Committee for the Revision of the Constitution.
They are the implementation of an amendment that we have already made to the Constitution, namely to adapt the names of the various parliamentary assemblies of the de-federated entities to the reality of language use. We did that in the Constitution. Now we do the same in all special laws and laws in which the names occur.
The colleagues of CD&V and Vlaams Belang stated that they had abstained from the constitutional amendment and that they would therefore also abstain from the present amendments.
There was another brief debate about the use of the word "Flemish Parliament" or "Flemish Parliament". There was an authority argument, namely, “The Constitution Ends”.
The three drafts were adopted with 10, 9 and 9 votes in favour and 4, 4 and 1 abstentions, respectively.
